To Be Loved...

Married almost 9 months now, and it's wonderful. I wanted to start this blog to be solely about marriage, all things marriage, dating, engagements, weddings, housing shopping, home making, home renovations, all things, including insights into my marriage. I'll start with a little background. I met my husband when I was 18 years old, never would have guessed he would be the man I married, he was my cousins best friend, the first time I met him very very brief, we didn't say more than a hello to each other. About a year later we started hanging out together and became friends which lead to falling in love with each other and starting a serious relationship late May of 2006. By the end of 2006, Corey and I knew we wanted to send the rest of our lives together. We were anxious and knew we had to be prepared. Corey applied for jobs like crazy that December and we prayed a lot. He was offered a job at Thornton & Grooms Heating & Cooling. He saved over the next 2 years for our home. He proposed to me July 5th 2008 on lake Michigan and we were married February 22nd 2009. It was the hardest thing to have to wait that long to move in together and find a home and get financially set, but I feel we were very smart and have a better life because of it.
